School Closure:The school will be closing for the Christmas Holidays on Thursday 22nd December at 12 noon and will be reopening on Monday January 9th at 9.20am.
8th December - Feast of Immaculate Conception: School is open on the 8th December as per School Calendar. There is a Vigil Mass in Annascaul Church on Wednesday, 7th at 7pm for anyone who wishes to attend. A prayer service will be held in school.
Christmas Carol Service: We will have a Carol Service in Annascaul Church on Wednesday, December 21st at 1pm. Parents, families and friends of the school are very welcome to attend. All pupils will go home straight after the Carol Service which will end at 2pm. Children travelling on the bus will be collected by the bus at the church.
Parking: As of immediate effect all children are to be picked up at the Main Front Entrance of the school at 2pm and 3pm for health and safety reasons.
Halloween Dress Up:Well done to all the children, staff and parents who dressed up on the day of the holidays. There was an excellent display of all types of costumes. €213 was raised. Well done to everyone.

Yard Supervision and Assembly: Assembly is at 9.15am. The Board of Management does not accept any responsibility for any child on the premises before 9.15am. A member of staff will supervise the pupils in the yard from 9.15am to 9.20am. At 9.20am the children will assemble in their class lines and will be collected from the yard by their class teacher.
Healthy Eating Policy: Scoil Bhreac Chluain has a Healthy Eating Policy. Pupils are not allowed to bring fizzy drinks, sweets, chocolate, crisps or chewing etc to school.
First Communion 2016: Congrats to all the children who received their First Communion on Saturday May 14th. A big thank you to all the children who sang and played on the day and to all the teachers and staff members who helped out in many ways to make the day so special. A special thank you to Fr. Jerry Keane. Thanks to PA who organised a reception in the Community Centre after the ceremony. It was most enjoyable.
Feile na Bealtaine: Thanks to all the children, parents and teachers who participated in the Feile na Bealtaine parade on May 1st. Well done, a great effort was made by everybody. Also a very special thank you to Liz O'Leary, Pádraig Spillane and Noel Spillane and the Men's Shed for costumes and props and to Susan Brosnan, Donna Fahy and Lisa Sayers for doing the face painting. Again Scoil Bhreac Chluain were very well represented and did a fantastic job.

Lee Strand Tokens: We are still collecting Mighty Milk mascots from the the Lee Strand milk bottles and cartons. Once again we are very grateful to all the pupils, parents and wider school community who helped us collect all the tokens so far which won us €500.
Recycling: Scoil Bhreac Chluain has a recycling facility for used batteries. Unfortunately we cannot facilitate recycling of used ink cartridges. Please do not send used ink cartridges into school.
New IT Equipment: The school recently purchased 15 new laptops for the school with the funds from the proceeds of the Speckled Meadow.
Office Hours: Tricia Kennedy our school secretary works on the following days, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9.15am to 2.00pm.
